Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge

It was way back in 2012 that I had first seen some Papertrey Ink  stamps on someone's card in a magazine . It was a quote and I had wondered where I would find something like that. I had not heard of PTI before and never seen such lovely fonts on a sentiment stamp. I had been, up until then, picking up stamps from my local craft store and while they were good, they were not exactly what I had been looking for! Not very computer savvy then, I struggled to know more about this company and their stamps. Finally, I found their blog and website  and placed my first order and have never looked back since then!

Papertrey Ink has been my absolute favorite when it to comes to crisp, sharp images. I, especially love their sentiments where they mix fonts wonderfully! Back then I had not known that these would be the only stamps, I would reach for when it comes to my watercolor paintings, but today I know I could not do without  PTI sentiment stamps!

Waiting to get more holiday spoiled by Stylish Sentiments- Holiday set and now I keep waiting for something similar to be released. maybe something for every season or quotes......

The other day , I posted a picture of my poinsettia painting on Instagram and PTI was so kind to repost it  and mention my work......meant a lot to me!

Here is the picture...

And now coming back to today's blog hop.....this is also something that I try very hard not to is my take on this month's inspiration picture.

Here is how it would look matted!

Autumn Leaves

 Hello !

Over the long weekend, I did take some time to paint and going by the number of cards and paintings that I have painted in the last week, I think I might have gotten slightly addicted to maple leaves! I simply can't seem to stop painting them. They make such a brilliant subject. The myriad of colors all blending into each other are such a treat to the artist. There is no right or's a maple leaf and whichever way you paint it, it is bound to be pretty!

Here is one of my latest's a 5x7 matted to a 8x10 and is ready to frame.I have used Arches watercolor paper which I simply love for it's texture and the watercolors are by Winsor and Newton.

You can find this one on Etsy

 And here are some cards......

Card 3

I am loving all the color on my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a nice week ahead!

Maple Leaf

Happy Friday!'s a long weekend here in the States...hope to enjoy the last bit of summer!

This week went past so quickly that I have hardly had any time to post anything  on the blog. I have been clearing up my studio and trying to get better organized. I had not taken stock of my stamps in a long time. Every box I opened had stamps and more stamps and am glad I decided to give them away.

I did put up a post about some of them last week and mentioned scrapbook paper and LOTS of punches. But I think the best way for me to clear my box of heavy punches  would be to have someone local come and pick it up. That way it saves them shipping.  Hopefully someones else will be able to put them to better use.  I have lots of huge Martha Stewart punches and Martha Stewart stamp sets. Stampin Up stamp sets A huge lot of stickers and of course scrapbook paper pads. I do have some 8 sets of current Casual Friday Stamps which are almost new where  just one or two stamps has been  used.
I will try to add some pictures to this post later today.  Chicago locals... if interested ..let me me!

But all work and no play make me a dull girl and painting is playing for is what I painted this week....

The maples have yet to turn but I could not resist painting some autumn them!
