Last month my local craft store had a Paris themed contest where we had to submit artwork with Paris and spring as our focal point. The day it was announced, I knew what I wanted to paint and got totally excited about it and even told my husband to keep his bags packed and ready ....we are heading to Paris..yes, the grand prize was a trip to Paris for two with lots of frills thrown in. But then ....life happened and I forgot about this contest or was forced to forget by the flu !
Not one to give up so easily, at the nth hour I painted and trashed and painted and trashed and...you get the flow...finally I got these two ready and asked my husband to pick one . He chose the framed piece and I went ahead and uploaded it. I received no confirmation in particular and my work never showed up on their submission page. I thought it had never gone through and perhaps I was too late, although I was within the given time frame. This morning I received an email thanking me for my submission and the list of winners!
I was disappointed to say the least.
Well, at least I tried and now have a beautiful painting reminding me of Paris !
8x10, watercolor
a closer look....
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week ahead!
So beautiful! I also entered but didn't win. :( It was fun making the project, though Here's a link to my painting:
