Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge

It's been such a long time since I played along Papertrey Ink challenges or joined their blog hop! I used to be a regular  for about a year or two and then became a part of design teams and now I find it so hard to complete my assignments on time, let alone play challenges!

But whenever they have watercolor as inspiration, I try to play along and today's hop has a beautiful watercolor piece as inspiration.

And here is my take ....

I started by applying a wash of watercolor for the background and then stamped the images and colored them . A simple but effective sentiment was enough to complete this piece.

 Stamps- Papertrey Ink, Clearly Besotted.

Sharing with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge-anything goes

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

A couple of weeks backs I had mentioned in this post about my work being on TV during CHA and promised to post a close up of each card . Here is another one from that set of favorite!

The stamps and sentiments are by Crafter's Companion and I have used Spectrum Aqua to color this piece.

I am going to keep this post short since I am running way behind with my DT assignments and this computer is to blame...have to get off it !

Have a great week friends..bye for now!

 Hello everyone,
....hope your week has got off to a great start!

If you are in the mood to do some coloring this week then I have some Spectrum Noir inspiration for you!

I  started by stamping the image  with a very light ink- walnut stain -2nd gen and then set to color using Spectrum Noir blendable colored pencils. The background was done using Spectrum Aquas and the sentiment was stamped using Distress ink -walnut stain.

Good Times!

Here is another Spectrum Aqua sample....
......a new addition to the Spectrum Noir coloring family, these water based markers are now available in the USA!

Way back in Jan I had sent some samples for the official release of these markers at the CHA show. It was a live event on TV and I was pleasantly surprised to see my work on display and truly enjoyed my two minutes of fame!

When I saw the presentation, I knew I had to save this for work on TV for the very first time..yayy.. and I knew my husband would feel bad if I told him he missed something "this important"! ( we crafter's have our own list of important things ..don't we!)

I had to do something and quick ..had to take some pictures ..but how?...screen shots?..yes.!. that's what I should be doing ...but how does one take a screen shot..hmnnn...asked Grandma Google and as always she helped..  and I went clicking ..some are ok, some are really blurred..but it was enough to show my husband ..mission accomplished!

I waited to share with you until it was released her in the point showing you something which was not available yet! is a screen shot of the display...the samples to the left of the markers..four of them, the butterfly, red roses, pale pink floral and of course the mosaic which I am sharing with you today.

The pictures are screen shots of a  earlier presentation on TV, the pricing is old and does not hold good anymore.

And below is a closer look at the cards, I will be sharing them individually over the next few weeks here on my blog.

 Stamps-Crafter's Companion,
Spectrum Aqua.

I have some exciting news to share.... now a part of the colorful Spectrum Noir family!

Having been a part of Crafter's Companion for a year now, I was thrilled when I was invited to join Spectrum Noir!  I knew I wanted to be a part of this awesome company whose coloring mediums have been my favorite even before I became a part of CC. But then I knew that I would not be able to deliver my best if I were on too many teams at the same time ..I had to decide...CC or SN!

As difficult a decision as it was, I decided to step down from CC and have now become a part of Spectrum Noir!

So starting today, you will be seeing Spectrum Noir work on my blog and sadly no more exclusive Crafter's Companion, although I am still a part of the broad CC family!

For my project today, I have used their new water based markers called Spectrum Aqua which will be available in the US very soon. It has been launched in the UK and I will be sharing more samples in the coming weeks.

Spectrum Aqua-Scarlett,Black,
stamps- clearly Besotted-remember, Wplus9-sweet nothings

There is a challenge going on over at Spectrum Noir and the theme for Feb is obviously Red, so join the fun and win some prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
