With more snow on the ground and some more in our forecast, I simply cannot wait for some green!
So I have been coloring some flowers in the brightest colors possible to take my mind off the white around me!
I tried a 'new to me' technique on this card. I saw a friend doing it and could not wait to try it myself! Usually I use watercolors for the background and Spectrum Noir for the image, but this time around I have used a grey SN marker for the background and have achieved that watercolor look, which I love so much, by using rubbing alcohol.
I filled up a waterbrush with rubbing alcohol and scribbled some marker ink onto a non porous surface like an acrylic block and then picked up the color with the filled brush...super fun and super easy and a superb look..love it!
...here is a list of colors I have used....
Spectrum Noir-GG1,GG3,TN7,LY1,DG1,D
And lastly a touch of diamond Stickles for the stamen.
