Happy Sunday everyone!
Today we woke up to time change and lost an hour of sleep but no complaints here, as I got an extra hour to work on this watercolored piece!
Time change also means we are 'officially' done with winter or so I would like to believe.....
......yay.. we survived!
The fairy and the sentiment are stamps by Crafter's Companion from the Fairyopolis-Summer set . The rest has been sketched and watercolored.

Although I could have completed the entire picture using watercolors , I find that using different mediums on a single painting/picture usually offers added interest and gives the eye something to focus on. Here I have used Spectrum Noir markers for the image. I love the way these bleed just so slightly on watercolor paper, thereby giving a beautiful texture .

ReplyDeleteFabulous card ! I thought you must have stamped flowers n leaves along with the fairy..but WOW you have drawn them ,I loved the shading a lot.Thank you for the steps photos ,its very helpful to understand how to bring depth to the paintings !
