This is my second post for today, for my Crafter's Companion post click here
Roses anyone?
As promised am back with more flowers and this time I have some pretty pink roses for you! It's Papertrey Ink's January Blog Hop and today it's all about pinks, hearts, chocolates and Valentines!
The challenge this month is to create a card using just the color pink with the option to use neutrals (such as white, cream, gray, black or kraft).I love such challenges !
Using a limited color palette can be so liberating at times...no thinking about colors nor combinations..it's all done for you! I chose brown (Kraft) as my neutral with pink and just a tad of grey for the darks.
The floral stamp is by PTI - The Sweet life and the sentiment -PTI
The roses were stamped using watercolors.
The details..
gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteOh my! This is truly a piece of art. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour cards always cheer me up. Just the beauty of your "painting" is so magnificent and calming! I am sitting in the recliner with my foot up, recovering from a bunionectomy (2 bones in my foot were broken, straightened and screwed back together, and another bone shaved), so thank you for sharing them. They made me feel better :-)

ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely stunning, Sanketi. I was surprised you were able to get such definition stamping with watercolor. The artist in you knows just the right touch to use.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy!
DeleteThis particular stamp is a 3 step set, so I stamped once, let it dry, then stamped the next layer for more definition. Hope that helps!

ReplyDeleteWow, what an awesome card, it's just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHello, this is beautiful....your whole blog is beautiful. I have just sat in awe looking at everything. Please can I ask how you did the wording on this card? I guess it is a stamp but is it just ink, and if so what colour, or is it embossed. Obviously I can see where you have used black ink, but I am stumped on the others; but just love the effect you achieve. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteJackie
Stinning Sanketi! Your cards are awesome!
ReplyDeleteJust amazing, as you accustomed us to see.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I haven't commented much lately, I'm still following your steps (this sounds like I'm actually following you, physically speaking :)). Thank you for your precious tutorials!

Sanketi, I'm a little late with my comment, but never-the-less I want to say how much I enjoy and love your work. It's simply beautiful. I have been a big PTI fan for many years too. I would love to see you make this piece into a video. I'd like to see you stamp with watercolor and use the stamp the way you did - I'll bet we'd all sit back in amazement. Thank you in advance for giving it some thought. Susie ~
ReplyDeleteStunningly gorgeous. ....
