This card took me a looong time to get done , all the layering and die cutting and embossing !!!!!!
but I think it was definitely worth it!..what say?
I was a bit disappointed with the embossing and wanted to start over , but having spent 2 hours on it already , I could not get myself to trash it , so I let it be and promised to get myself an embossing buddy in the future!
I started with textured cardstock for the background , stamped a couple of trees- Studio 112, for the focal point ..die cut the house - Memory box out of watercolor paper, the different elements like the wreath , and the foreground trees are by PTI, the sentiments are by TPC studios and PTI, some diamond stickles and finally the embossing powder by Martha Stewart.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! I agree with Wida...I couldn't give this away..
ReplyDeleteThat little house with the wreath...ADORABLE!!! wow!
LOVE this card, Sanketi. I would not give it away either. No way. Great job combining the dies. I don't have an embossing buddy either, but I think it was Betsy Veldman who shared a tip to fold fabric around some cornstarch and sew the edges. I needed it right away and didn't have time to sew, so I just put some cornstarch in a paper towel, rubbed it on the card before pouring the powder on, and it worked perfectly!
ReplyDeleteWell worth all that time, Sanketi - love all the details! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp challenge this week - good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love this house and all your layering..... So beautiful! I would want to keep this one too. I love the red white and green . Your gold embossing is gorgeous. I would frame this one Sanketi.
