It's been a long time since I posted here and if you are wondering if I vanished from the face of the earth ..no, am still here !
While I was busy making plans to celebrate 100 sales on Etsy and host a giveaway and was excited to take my small art business to a whole new level, certain life altering events took my life in a totally different direction. The challenges that I faced forced me to put my store and life on hold. 2016 saw me evolve into a whole new person and all I can say is I survived and am still here to tell my story. I would rather stay away from the details and refrain from living in the past and hope for a better and brighter future .
I have never been a girl who did a lot of future planning, in fact I don't even book tickets for anything ahead of time! These recent events have just made me live my life one day at a time for He has everything already planned and laid out for me and there is no point in me making any more plans or decisions. He has it all!
With that hope, I reopened my Etsy store last week and am now ready to take it from there...it's a huge gap of more than 6 months and will require a lot of rebuilding, almost like starting over, but I will do it, even if it means putting in double the effort than I had put in the first time around.
My art is my passion, it's what keeps me alive and positive and the fact that I had some very kind people asking me why my store was closed and if I would reopen again, kept me going during my darkest and most difficult times. My husband and my family were my cheerleaders, they would keep encouraging me to paint and pursue my passion. If it were not for them, I would not be here today.
With that being said, I now look forward to painting more everyday and have started to stock up my store with new pieces of art and am currently in the process of getting prints done and might offer them once I get through Etsy's manufacturing requirements. If there are any pieces that you would like prints of, leave me a comment and I can offer it here too.
I post everyday on Instagram, so to get behind the scenes of what's going on in my studio follow me there @sanketim.
Here are some of new work......Small pieces of original art. 4.5" x 4" not exactly a miniature, but definitely smaller than my usual work.
Have a wonderful day!
