Video- Imagine

Is the long weekend over?
..because I am still in the holiday mood!

So we had a long weekend here in the US and after a long time we did nothing ..absolutely nothing ..no crafting ..no painting ..just a teensy bit of browsing and lots of relaxing, gardening and did I mention doing nothing!

In fact I forgot about DT duties and panicked as Tuesday rolled around..but it's all sorted now and I managed to do a video too!

Here is the stamp I have used for today's project...Faceless beautyby Unity Stamp Co

Life ....

It's been so long since I played along Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge!
.......but where there is watercolor ...there's got to be me..so had to join in this week!

Here is my take on Betsy's technique ..MIM#165-artsy watercolor backgrounds

The funniest part is there is no watercolor used on today's card! lol! I used distress inks to stamp the image and went over it with a damp brush.

The floral stamp is by PTI-The Sweet life and the sentiment by Unity Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Video- the girl.....

Unity Stamp Co. is releasing quite a few stamps today and this pretty girl is one of them !

I rarely do faces, especially ones which require realism, but today I decided to attempt it and this is the end result! I quite liked it and might be sharing some more soon!

In fact I was brave enough to film the process and even share it with you...so here is a video!
I have also answered some questions about the flesh tone colors I use and the brushes that I most often reach for.

a closer look...

Love the sentiment...

The flowers are by Unity and it's from their Layers of Life kit-May

I enjoyed trying something different, and hope that I have done justice to this beautiful image!

Video + Giveaway!

Hello everyone,

Hope your week has got off to a great start..mine has been more busy than I can handle though! But have been doing some fun artsy stuff too....so it's all good! Now if only the spring weather would calm down a bit and ease my allergies..I might have been able to do more!

Today I have a post over at the Niji blog and thought of doing a video showcasing their semi transparent Chinese watercolors along with their Sumi Ink. These watercolors are slighly more opaque than the ones that I normally use and that's because of the pigments in them.. some of the plant based colors are semi transparent and some mineral based ones are opaque. But they are simply a dream to use..deep vibrant colors!

I do have a video showing these paints in action..Enjoy!
