    2. I have a Canon MG5550 - also an inkjet printer but my lines always smudge when I want to watercolor my images - do you do anything to your prints before you watercolor them??

    3. No I don't ..but you could try heat setting the print with a heat tool or a warm iron before you start coloring, that might help?

  6. I'm new to your blog just having viewed your tutorial for 'Watercolor for Card Makers' which I highly recommend to any of your subbies. Your explanation is wonderful and I so enjoyed watching the images come to life. As a novice to watercolors, I learned so much but I know it will takes lots of practice to achieve the shadowing, and "balance" of color and contrast that you demonstrated. Your designs featured in the class are truly works of art. Thanks for inspiring me.

  7. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us! Your art is simply awe inspiring! I am new to watercolouring and never thought to create such gorgeous backgrounds for stamped images. I only came across your videos and blog last week, and have already learned so much. You have inspired me to try new techniques, and not be afraid to push out of my comfort zone.

Would you please tell me if you teach online card classes? If so, how may I sign up?

Also, could you please tell us what brand of paper you use both for the printer and for watercolouring regular stamped images, as well as the brand of paints you used, and the size and brand of your brushes? I would like to add quality supplies to my tool kit. Thanks again for sharing your work with us! ☺

    1. Thank you so much Alanna! I am so glad you enjoy my videos!
      To answer your questions...
I do have a class in the watercolor for cardmakers workshop ..you can stop by OCC and sign up for it... you can do it at your own pace since you have lifetime access to the content.

About the paper I use Strathmore 140# cold press for cards and Arches for larger paintings. For the printer I use 90# cold press.
Brushes...No 6 round Kolinsky sable series 7 by Winsor and Newton is the one I reach for frequently . I do use other synthetic brushes depending on what I am working on and I usually mention that in my videos.

I do have a post on my watercolor journey where I talk a bit about my supplies..it might interest you...http://sanketij.blogspot.com/p/my-watercolor-journey.html

Thanks again for stopping by and watching my videos!

    2. Thanks so much for sharing the product info! Funnily enough, I'd actually already signed up for the class you mentioned (and about 4 others, as they are amazing classes!), but have just started working through the first couple of lessons. I hadn't gotten to your lesson portion yet, but now that I've looked ahead, I can't wait to get to yours. There's just something about your style of painting that speaks deeply to me and instantly drew me in from the first video I saw. I am excited to try my hand at it! Thanks again! 😊
